A few weeks ago the boys went hunting in San Saba so Mimi and RaRa came into town for a day with the girls! We headed out to The University of Texas Golf Club to go see Burnt Orange Santa!!! We missed him last year by an hour, so this year we made sure we were there, he was there, and that we were all ready to go! The UT Club put on a beautiful Christmas party for the kiddos this year complete with delicious food, cookie decorating, coloring and of course pics with Santa. It was a pretty awesome spread I have to say, and it was so nice enjoying the beautiful club decorations and spreading Christmas cheer.
One of the best things was that Santa was there the whole time during the party, and there really was never a line to see him. There was a constant circulation of parents and children trying to get that perfect shot, or framer as we like to call them. Thank goodness there was no limitation on the number of times you could try and pose with Santa!! I lost count the number of times we tried to bribe Elle with snacks and candy from Santa, she just wasn't having any of it, and it was pretty funny! Apparently she doesn't know he brings the gifts...I guess that's what Grandparents are for ;)
Thank goodness Santa and the staff were patient people. They were all really awesome with all of the kids, and did a great job of making everyone feel special. Enjoy the pictures below. It really was an amazing day with my beautiful daughter and my Mama's that was so precious to me. I hope we can make it a tradition for years to come! Oh and cheers to Burnt Orange Santa, he deserved a scotch after that one!
