Matt & Shell's Wedding Weekend!

This was a very very special weekend for us. Two of our dear friends Matt & Shelley were joined together before God, it is so awesome watching your friends get married to one another and being a part of it. Kris, Elle and I were all in the wedding together and Elle got to be the flower girl and did awesome! Two of my besties from college were also there so I got to spend time with them and even better watch our kiddos play...nothing warms your heart more than watching your babe play with the kiddos of your dear friends. Lindsey, Ed and Miss Caroline live in Austin so we get to see them from time to time, but we don't get to see Rendi, Josh and Sanders alot since they live in Louisiana. We would love to see them more often, Sanders just cracks me up, and we want to be a part of him growing up. My favorite pictures are of he and Elle below, and then the 3 kiddos playing in the hotel room.

More on the weekend, it was such a fabulous weekend. We started off the weekend with Thursday night dinner at Matt's El Rancho, one of our all time favs. The next morning Elle and I headed out to Lakeway for the bridesmaid luncheon while the boys played golf at UT Golf Club. That night the rehearsal dinner/ "tailgate" was at the UT stadium, seriously one of the coolest rehearsal dinners EVER, all of the details and thought that went into everything were just incredible, from the invitations, to the centerpieces, to the Longhorn and Tech garb including drink jersey's, to the menu, to Matt & Shell's picture on the godzilla-tron, to pictures with Bevo, and a guest video appearance by Mack Brown....amaaazing! To top off the night, the bridal party got to go run around on the field and take pictures, seriously, Kris, Elle and I were in Longhorn football heaven the whole night. The next morning we all woke up to the beautiful surroundings of the Lakeway Inn & Spa, we stayed there during the wedding weekend and will definitely be going back sometime soon. On to the cermony, Shelley looked as gorgeous as ever, and Matt looked good too hahaha. Like I said, it was such a special moment watching 2 of your good friends get married, did I mention it was at sunset overlooking the lake, and it was really special for us watching Elle walk in and do her flower girl duties. Since Kris and I were standing by Shelley and Matt, we didn't get any pics of Elle with our camera, but their photographer got some great shots that I will have to share at some point.

The reception was the jam, the decor was perfectly Shelley and the food was to die for, any event that has a mashed potatoe bar is destined for sucess...and any Mother and Father of the Bride that lets Kris wear his house slippers to the reception are very gracious hosts (thanks Roy and Doloreon, we love you guys!). It was the perfect ending to the perfect weekend and such a great event to be a part of...when you have two hilarious and laid back people getting married, you know it's going to be a good time! We love you guys and look forward to all of the good times ahead!
