This week of firsts include Elle's first week of dance class (which technically started today), but why not start practicing early when you can dress up in skirts and wear tap shoes. Can we say she LOVES the tap shoes??!! The nails on a chalkboard sound of taps on tile floor has been exilerating, and each dance sequence has to end with a resounding "TA-DAAAAAAA" (of course). It's absolutely precious watching her, totally fun dancing with her, and melts our hearts seeing her excitement. She has been loving it.
Speaking of shoes, this was Eli's first full week of wearing kicks. Last weekend, a little wobbly, this week master of his domain. We are full terrain now people, this kid has no limits, so look out!
Other recent E-isms. Eli himself is quite the dancer, his teachers laugh (in a good way) about how precious he is always wanting to dance in class. He has learned how to turn the radio on our bakers rack on so he can jam out. He can frequently be seen bumpin' or swaying to something as little as the rhythm of a cell phone. Elle is sassy as ever and is always 2 steps ahead of me. I told her the other day that I had to jump in the shower real quick to which she responded "Mommy, please don't jump in the shower, we have to be careful and go slow". Safety first!
